Ayodele "Ayo" Edith Anderson hails from Shreveport, LA and is a graduate of         C.E. Byrd  Magnet High School. She is a Cum Laud Honor's graduate of  Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA where she received her Bachelors degree in Mass Communications. A brave young Ayo ventured to the below zero temperatures of Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY where she received a Masters of Arts degree in Public Relations.

 

Her educational background, coupled with over 15 years of public relations,  human resources and diversity management has given her a vast wealth of knowledge and experience! She began her career as the Coordinator of Pubic Relations and Recruitment at Southern University Shreveport. Upon completion of her master’s studies, she headed to New York City where she landed an internship and then job with telecommunications  giant, Verizon Communications.  She held various human resources positions during her years in New York City and Dallas, TX. She and her team won one of Verizon’s Top Awards for Excellence.

 

Ayo and her family have a love for travel! They have ventured globally to Paris, London, Barbados, Germany, Mexico, Canada and Scotland. They frequent New York City, Los Angeles, New Orleans and Atlanta. Together, they have the opportunity to visit many locations in the continental United States including Miami, Fl., Washington, DC, Denver, Co., and Phoenix, Az.  

 

Ayo has a heart for people. As a servant leader, she serves the Dallas community  through Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, Omicron Mu Omega Chapter where she shines in various leadership capacities. She also loves her community service through Trinity Chapter, The Links, Incorporated.

We always hear “do what you love and the rest will follow,” and Ayo is trying to help those she loves and live her dreams!
